Frequently asked questions

How do I calculate the discount percentage from two prices?

Discount% = (Original - Sale) / Original x 100. For example, if an item dropped from 5,000 to 4,000, the discount is 1,000 / 5,000 x 100 = 20%.

Can I chain discounts (e.g. 20% off then 10% off)?

No - stacked discounts are multiplicative, not additive. 20% off then 10% off on 5,000 gives: 5,000 x 0.80 x 0.90 = 3,600 (a 28% total discount, not 30%).
