Days and Weekdays Between Dates

Count the days and weekdays between any two dates. The start date is set to today, so to find how many weekdays are left until a date, just pick the end date. Results show total days, complete weeks, weekdays (Monday to Friday) and weekend days (Saturday and Sunday).

How it works

The calculator subtracts the earlier date from the later date to get total days, then counts each day of the week between the two dates to determine weekdays vs weekends.

Example. From 1 January 2026 to 31 December 2026 is 364 days: 260 weekdays and 104 weekend days.

Frequently asked questions

How many weekdays are there until a date?

Leave the start date on today, set the end date, and read the Weekdays result. It counts Monday to Friday only, and does not skip public holidays.

How many days and weekdays are in 2 weeks?

2 weeks is 14 days, of which 10 are weekdays and 4 are weekend days.

How many weekdays are in a year?

260 or 261, depending on which day the year starts. 2026 has 261. The calculator shows 260 for 1 January to 31 December because it does not count both end dates; add the end date back to get the full year.

Does it count the start and end date?

The calculation counts full days between the two dates, not including the start day but effectively giving the number of calendar days spanning the range. To include both endpoints, add 1 to the result.
