How it works
The gap between the two dates is broken down calendar-correctly: years first, then months, then whatever days are left over - borrowing from the previous month or year where needed so it accounts for different month lengths and leap years, the same way age is normally described.
Break the gap into whole years, then whole months, then remaining days - each calculated against the actual calendar, not a fixed 30-day month assumption.Example. From 1 January 2020 to 30 August 2026 is 6 years, 7 months and 29 days - about 2,433 total days.
