GPA Calculator
Calculate your weighted GPA by entering your letter grades and the credit hours for each course. Supports standard A-F letter grades on the 4.0 scale. Add as many courses as you need - just keep grades and credits in the same order.
Comma-separated letter grades (A, A-, B+, B, B-, C+, C, C-, D, F) or numeric points (4.0, 3.3, ...).
Comma-separated credit hours for each course, in the same order as the grades.
How it works
Each course's quality points = grade points x credit hours. GPA = total quality points / total credit hours. The weighting by credit hours ensures that courses worth more credits have a proportionally larger effect on your GPA.
GPA = Σ(Grade points x Credits) / Σ(Credits)Example. Grades A, B+, A-, C with credits 3, 4, 3, 3: (4x3 + 3.3x4 + 3.7x3 + 2x3) / 13 = 3.23 GPA.
Frequently asked questions
What grade points do A, B, C correspond to?
On the standard 4.0 scale: A/A+ = 4.0, A- = 3.7, B+ = 3.3, B = 3.0, B- = 2.7, C+ = 2.3, C = 2.0, C- = 1.7, D = 1.0, F = 0. Your institution may use a slightly different scale.
